“Petite Prints” Petroglyphs

Oops, I almost forgot about this boulder, very close to the “Walks of Life” boulder! It is odd because in real life, visiting the site, I was crawling around on the outcropping and almost missed it, too!

Better late than never, so let’s look!

Very close to the “Walks of Life” boulder seen here in the background at the top of the outcropping, and most likely contemporary with it. The themes and style of the petroglyphs is the same. The row of four footprints even seem to be wandering off towards that boulder!
The squiggle lines and concentric circles are also pretty common themes here on the Tablelands and they are represented on this boulder. All the petroglyphs are at a comfortable height for working.
I love the detail on the middle print, where the chubby toes are separate little ovals, much like a real footprint would show. The print right at the top was almost taken out by that chunk of the boulder breaking off.
The jumble of squiggles to the top left.
The squiggle element to the right.
Detail of the handprint-like elements. Some specks of lichen are taking hold in and around the petroglyphs.

Well, that was short and sweet! One boulder, a handful of designs. Hope you enjoyed looking at them!
